Chapter Seven
JINGLE BELLS
ODESSA
Everything had fallen into a pleasant rhythm. I knew Klaus's routine now. I was learning to expect his needs better. He still liked to throw me curveballs now and then, but there weren't too many things that he asked me to do that actually surprised me.
And the sex was still just as good as it had been the first time. Better even. He knew my limits better, and I knew what he was capable of. Trust was building between the two of us. It made everything better. And some things so much worse. Klaus knew just how far he could push me and keep me on the edge of orgasm.
It had quickly become his favorite game.
A game that we were playing right now. He had me spread out in front of him, on his desk. Things hadn't gotten too intense so far. I was still wearing all of my clothes, although he had pushed my skirt up around my waist before I had sat down. I had quickly gotten used to the feeling of my bare ass on the wood of his desk. There wasn't a surface in this office that I hadn't had my bare ass on.
His fingers were taking great delight in teasing me. Not just his fingers were enjoying it, but they were the only part of him that he was touching me with. The tips of his fingers skating across the tops of my stockings, teasing me there. His fingers flicking open the buttons on my blouse, slowly baring inches of my skin to his gaze.
He was infuriatingly good at teasing me.
âI got you a present, little snowflake.â Those words made me perk up, but also fill with trepidation. We weren't really gift giving people. Or I had thought that we weren't. I enjoyed doing little things for him. Knowing exactly how he took his coffee, making sure his lunch was ready and waiting for him before he knew he was hungry. Having everything ready for his meetings, keeping as much as I could off of his plate. And I had thought that pleasure had been what he enjoyed doing.
Giving gifts seemed a little more personal than anything we had done so far.
I wasn't sure what to do. Should I put my shirt back on? He took care of things, though, shifting away for a moment to take something out of his top drawer. Seeing the small box, I felt my heart immediately leap into my throat. It wasn't a ring box, thank god, but still. He didn't get out of his chair, didn't move from between my legs. In fact, he was now resting his arms on my thighs, almost pinning me in place, as if he knew I was about to run.
I swallowed nervously as he opened the box, and then confusion filled my face at the tinkling sound that came from it. When I saw what he was holding, laughter bubbled out of me, earning me a stern look.
âI am glad they amuse you, little snowflake.
